FEB. 21 - Let's Grow Flowers: A Cutting Garden Workshop
February 21, 2025
10a - 11:30a at the Shops of Brick City, Fort Smith
Join Annie of Annie’s Garden Blooms for a 90-minute hands-on workshop designed to help you grow a beautiful, productive cutting garden—no matter your experience level.
Whether you’ve never kept a plant alive, you’re somewhere in between, or you’ve been gardening for years and want better results, this class will meet you where you are. Annie brings nearly 20 years of gardening experience and six years as a professional flower farmer, growing and producing flowers for both retail and wholesale clients throughout Fort Smith and Northwest Arkansas.
In this workshop, you will learn how to plan and grow flowers specifically for cutting—covering what to plant, when to plant it, and how to keep your garden blooming all season long. In this workshop, Annie will guide you through the essentials of growing flowers specifically for cutting—including what to plant, when to plant it, and how to care for it throughout the season. You’ll learn when and how to harvest for the best vase life, how to keep plants producing with succession planting, and simple techniques to maximize blooms from the space you have.
We’ll also touch on the fundamentals of soil health, fertilizing, watering, and basic pest management—presented in a realistic, approachable way that won’t feel overwhelming or require perfection. The focus is on what actually works in real gardens, with real time constraints and real growing conditions.
You’ll leave with practical, usable knowledge you can apply right away—no matter your experience level or growing setup.
Each participant will receive practical grow guides and take-home packets of cut flower seeds, selected from Annie’s most reliable garden performers, so you can start growing and cutting flowers with confidence this spring.

Gardeners ready to level up their cut flower game
